This lecture will explore the critical synergy between the implant surgeon and the restorative dentist in preventing peri-implantitis. We will scrutinize how certain prosthetic and restorative factors, often overlooked, are critical contributors to this inflammatory process. The presentation will emphasize a collaborative, team-oriented, and evidence-based approach to treatment planning from the outset.  By understanding these collaborative touchpoints, practitioners can minimize biological complications and ensure long-term implant success. The goal is to shift the paradigm from reactive management to a preventative, collaborative model, ultimately improving patient outcomes.
