Dr. Rouzbeh Ostadsharif – Guided Implant Surgery.

An overview of the digital dentistry workflow employed for implant planning at UBC Dentistry will be provided. Multiple cases of guided implant placement along with a brief review of current literature on advantages and limitations of guided implant surgery will be presented.

• Appreciate limitations and advantages of guided surgery;
• Applications of guided surgery beyond implant dentistry.

Dr. Ethan Struthers-Lavoie – The Curious Case of Mrs. CP.

A case of successful dental implant placement in a patient with florid cemento-osseous dysplasia.

Learning Objectives:

• Clinical features and pathophysiology of cemento-osseous dysplasia;
• Implant risk assessment;
• Indications for peri-implant soft tissue augmentation.
