Mentorship Program
One of the key benefits of being part of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada is the access to an international network of dental specialists with a proven track record of excellence and dedication to their work. Through our Mentorship Program, RCDC intends to directly connect established Fellows and Members with early career Fellows in order to promote the transfer of knowledge from more experienced members of the College, and to encourage the next generation of dental specialists in their pursuit of excellence in their chosen specialty.
How does the Program work?
The Program is open to all Fellows and Members of the College who are in good standing, and would like to become a Mentor or Mentee, depending on the length of their membership with the College.
Established Fellows and Members (Mentors) are defined as having been with the College for 8 years or more.
Early career Fellows (Mentees) are defined as Fellows who have been with the College for 7 years or less.
When the application window opens, Fellows and Members can fill out a form containing questions about their professional interests, availability, and communications preferences. When the application window closes, College Staff review the submitted forms and create pairings based on Mentors’ and Mentees’ responses.
